In the historiography of the second Pahlavi period, a significant part is devoted to the category of development and modernization, and there have been many discussions about its merits and demerits. But it has rarely been seen that the narratives presented in oral history are used in this context. In general, the oral history interviews of the government officials have not been published in the country yet, but their text files can be found online in the relevant websites, and therefore, in this research, an attempt has been made to analyze the narrative presented by the government officials in the form of oral history. to be considered The main question of this research is that what problems have the government officials found in the category of Iran's progress in the second Pahlavi period? In order to answer this question, the oral history interviews of 26 brokers were examined in the form of thematic analysis, and finally 7 problems were extracted in response to the central question of this research.
