Journal Ethical Considerations

Biannual Journal Tarikhname-ye Enghelab  adheres to the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the Executive Regulation of the Law on the Prevention and Counteraction of Fraud in Scientific Works. The Editorial Office kindly requests that authors carefully observe the following guidelines to facilitate the timely review and publication of submitted manuscripts.

Manuscript Registration and Submission

Submission Guidelines

  1. Before submitting a manuscript, authors must register in the journal's online submission system. To do so, select "Register" from the "Submit Manuscript" menu and complete the required registration information. Upon successful registration, the system will automatically send your username and password to your registered email address.

  2. After registration, authors may log in through the "Submit Manuscript" portal using their assigned username and password to upload their manuscript.

  3. Authors who have previously registered with the same email address cannot create another account. The registered email address serves as the user's unique identification.

  4. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password", enter your registered email address, and a new password will be sent to your email.

(A) Required Forms and Files

  1. The manuscript in Microsoft Word format, including the English abstract, without authors' identifying information.

  2. The manuscript in Microsoft Word format, including the English abstract, with complete authors' identifying information.

  3. The manuscript similarity report generated through the Samim Noor plagiarism detection system.

  4. Author Declaration Form: Download the form, complete and sign it, and upload the scanned copy during manuscript submission.

  5. Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form: Download the form, complete and sign it, and upload the scanned copy during manuscript submission.

  6. Separate files containing maps, tables, figures, or any other materials intended for publication in color.

(B) General Requirements

  1. The manuscript must present the results of an original research study, including field research where applicable, and must not have been previously published in any journal or other scholarly publication.

  2. The manuscript should be written in clear, fluent academic language and conform to standard grammatical and stylistic conventions.

  3. The manuscript should not exceed 8,000 words.

  4. The subject matter must align with the aims and scope of Biannual Journal Tarikhname-ye Enghelab , particularly the historical analysis of the emergence, development, and various stages of the Islamic Revolution.

  5. Submitted manuscripts must be scholarly, research-based, analytical, and supported by reliable documentary evidence.

  6. References to Imam Khomeini should cite Sahifeh-ye Imam rather than Sahifeh-ye Noor, and references should preferably be drawn from publications issued by the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works.

  7. Each manuscript should be submitted through only one user account in the submission system.

  8. Authors are required to complete all submission fields accurately, including author information, Persian and English abstracts, keywords, and other requested metadata. If the information entered into the submission system is inconsistent with that provided in the manuscript file, the submission will not be forwarded to the Scientific Committee. For example, if three authors are listed in the manuscript, the complete information for all three authors must also be entered into the online submission system.

  9. Authors are kindly requested to take into consideration that the peer-review and editorial process may require several months before a final publication decision is reached.

  10. Only manuscripts that conform to the standard structure of a scientific research article and satisfy all requirements outlined in these guidelines will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee. Manuscripts lacking essential components such as an abstract, keywords, conclusion, references, or other required sections will not enter the peer-review process.

  11. Authors should incorporate all essential information within the main body of the manuscript and avoid submitting unnecessary appendices.

  12. Foreign terms should be accompanied by precise and appropriate Persian equivalents, while the full forms of abbreviations and acronyms used in the text should be provided in footnotes upon their first appearance.

  13. If revisions are requested by the Editor-in-Chief, reviewers, or the journal's Executive Editor, all modifications should be clearly highlighted in yellow within the revised manuscript before resubmission.

  14. If the research has received financial support, research funding, or is derived from a funded research project, this information must be disclosed in a separate Acknowledgments section. This section should appear at the end of the manuscript, immediately before the list of references.
