The political behavior of the National Front towards the retribution bill and its consequences on the political life of nationalists

Abstract
The retribution bill was proposed shortly after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, following Imam Khomeini's emphasis on Islamic zing judicial laws. This bill, which contained criminal laws based on Islamic rules, was prepared by the judiciary and submitted to the Islamic Council for approval. But its plan caused protests and criticism in the country. In this regard, the National Front was one of the critics of the said plan, which opposed the retribution bill and described it as inhumane. The behavior that the current research is trying to investigate by using descriptive-analytical method, and using library and newspaper sources. The findings of the research by posing the question, "What were the positions of the National Front regarding the plan of retribution and what effects did these positions have on the political activities of this trend?" It is based on: "The National Front, in opposing the revenge bill, did not limit itself to mere criticism. Rather, by inviting people to hold demonstrations, he went beyond the stage of criticism and openly opposed the Islamic system. In this way, while the peak of its confrontation with the Islamic Republic was reached, it also laid the foundation for the destruction of its political activities. "
