A Study of the Role of Charity Activities of Society of Combatant Clerics of Tehran in Advancement of the Islamic Revolution

Abstract
Since the Islamic Revolution of Iran was a popular and religious movement, it was from its beginning, under protection of religious groups of society. The Society of Combatant Clerics of Tehran is a religious, cultural, political and social institution formed before the revolution as the only political formation of "Ulama" in Iran. This society was one of the combatant groups that in addition to political activities, was also engaged in some charity activities across the country. This article is an attempt to focus on some aspects of the activities of the Society, and to discuss it impacts on the process of victory of the revolution. Using method descriptive-analytical method, and using primary sources (both the books and documents) and also interviewing the effective personalities, attempts have been made in this paper to study the charity activities of the Society in the advancement of Islamic movement.
